About Us

Democratic Charkha believes that people need quality news content in Hindi especially in Bihar. We want to empower voices that are least heard in society. We want to show the harsh reality of slums, transgenders, minorities, specially abled persons, dalits and tribal communities in Bihar.

In Hindi media there is a gap in quality news content which we want to bridge.

For this, in 2020, three students of Patna University came together to establish a media house which works differently from the rest of the media houses and then Democratic Charkha was born.

We started our journey by covering Patna but till today we are in Begusarai, Samastipur, Siwan, Katihar, Saharsa, Supaul, Sitamarhi, Aurangabad, Sheikhpura and Araria.

Till date we have made a direct impact in more than 100K lives.
